As AI agents become more widely adopted into China’s government and commercial sectors, demand for computing power is growing rapidly.
In a newly built computing data center in Beijing, the first batch of 2000PetaFLOPS of computing power is about to go into production.
A company rep said their server equipment wasn’t even fully installed when customer orders for rented computing power started coming in. They are now fully booked.
Currently, the average monthly rental price of a mainstream intelligent computing server is just under 15,000 U.S. dollars.
But those prices are expected to keep rising.
Information from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that as of the end of March the country's intelligent computing power scale had grown to 1882 EFLOPS.
