He was doing 20 sets of 20 reps bench press. It's all he did for chest. Extraordinary chest. I heard people talking about it. I read it in the magazines. I didn't believe a word. I was so hypnotized by Mike Mentzer's training philosophy that I thought these people are just talking rubbish, right? This simply cannot be. How can you do 20-40 sets for a body part? I started talking to him and told him what I do and mentioned heavy duty, Mike Mentzer and all that. He started laughing, he said to me, "Look my friend, if you want to look like my guys in the gym, you have to change the training system. This is not bodybuilding, this is more like a power lifting. Yes, you can get stronger, you can get bigger, but the problem is that you won't look like we do. I don't want to be a bodybuilder for only one week a year. I'm a bodybuilder for 365 days a year.
