Beneath the sealed vacuum bag is a dry woven reinforcement fabric waiting to be saturated with liquid resin before curing into a rigid composite structure.
As vacuum pressure removes air from the system, resin is pulled through the material in a controlled flow front that slowly advances across the fabric. The process compresses the layers tightly together while helping eliminate trapped air bubbles and weak spots.
This manufacturing method is widely used for carbon fiber and fiberglass parts because it creates lightweight components with extremely high strength, precise resin distribution, and smooth consistent finishes.
