Alberta separatist leaders clash with Danielle Smith after premier outlines cost of independence

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is warning separatist supporters that breaking up with Canada will cost a lot of money. The province will hold a referendum on Oct. 19, when Albertans will be asked whether they want to stay in Canada or begin the legal process to hold a future vote on whether Alberta should separate. “This I think is going to explode separatist heads because the fundamental argument - while they bring up guns and immigration and the senate it’s really about economics look how wealthy we'll be,” Duane Bratt from Mount Royal University said.
