Iran vows to leave “no act of aggression unanswered” after US strikes near Hormuz

Iran is accusing the United States of a “blatant” ceasefire violation after the U.S. carried out what it called “self-defence” strikes on southern Iran — including on missile launch sites and boats placing mines. In response, Tehran’s foreign ministry vowed it would leave “no act of aggression unanswered.” Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said Tuesday that it had shot down at least one drone and deterred another drone and a fighter jet that entered its airspace, according to Iran’s official Mizan news agency.
