A college inside a mall led me to something genuinely interesting.
The Institute of Venture Building started by IIM Calcutta alumni is a 3 year undergraduate program you can join right after 12th, but it works very differently from a typical college.
You spend only the first year in classes building your foundation. After that, you step into the real world with four paid internships where you actually learn by doing.
And then comes the biggest shift. In your final year, you get the chance to build your own startup with funding and mentorship. You are not just studying business, you are actually taking risks early in life and trying to create something of your own.
At the same time, there is a safety net. If your startup does not work out, you still have placement opportunities and can take up a job.
It is a much more practical way of learning and definitely worth checking out if you want to start early.
Now coming to the chaos of this video.
I took on a full day food challenge in Chennai’s EA Mall with just ₹1000 and one strict rule. I could not leave the mall no matter what. What followed was overpriced coffee, average biryani, zero seating, and a very unexpected ₹62 movie ticket that somehow saved the day.
