Ingredients:
Patties:
- 250 g minced meat (50/50 beef/pork)
- 1 medium onion, finely diced
- 40 ml milk
- 15 g panko (for the meat mixture)
- 1 large egg (for the meat mixture)
- 1/3 tsp salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- 1/3 tsp grated ginger (optional)
Breading:
- 40 g plain flour
- 1 large egg, beaten (for coating)
- 120-150 g panko (for coating)
Frying:
- Vegetable oil (enough for 7-8 cm depth in your pot)
Instructions:
Combine meat, onions, milk, 15g panko, 1 egg, salt, pepper, and ginger. Mix well. Divide into 4. Form 1.5-2 cm thick patties. Make thumb indentation. Chill 30-60 min.
Dredge patties: flour, beaten egg, panko (press firmly). Heat oil to 170-175°C. Fry 2 patties at a time (4-6 min/side) until golden and cooked through. Place on wire rack. Serve hot with Tonkatsu.
