Pulldown Exercise Variations
All pulldown variations train most of the back muscles to some degree, but your grip, attachment, torso angle, and elbow path can shift more emphasis toward specific areas.
1) Rope Face Pulls – emphasize the rear delts and upper traps
2) V-Handle Pulldown (leaning back) – places more emphasis on the mid-back, traps, and rhomboids.
3) Overhand Lat Pulldown – emphasizes the overall lats, especially the upper and outer regions.
4) Underhand Grip Pulldown – trains the overall lats while placing slightly more emphasis on the lower lats and biceps.
