Living 3 Days with Sundanese Tribe in Gelar Alam, West Java 🇮🇩In this documentary travel vlog, I visit the traditional Sundanese village of Gelar Alam deep in the mountains of West Java, Indonesia. The Sabang to Merauke journey continues from Ujung Kulon as we ride from Pelabuhan Ratu into the remote mountains to live with the Sundanese Tribe at Gelar Alam. The journey itself becomes an off-road adventure through some of the most beautiful landscapes in West Java. For 3 days, I live with the local community in Gelar Alam and experience traditional Sundanese culture firsthand. The villagers still follow the ways of their ancestors, preserving traditions that have existed for generations. Animals are treated like family, nature is deeply respected, and rice is considered the center of life itself. Across the mountains surrounding Gelar Alam, traditional rice storages hold enough rice to sustain the community for an incredible 95 years. During my stay, we eat together, learn about Sundanese history, explore the breathtaking mountain scenery, and experience a simpler way of life far from modern Indonesia.
