AI Night School in High Demand in East China City

A new sold-out event is attracting hundreds of participants every evening in eastern China's Nantong city: free night classes that teach people how to use AI to take their careers to the next level. Delivery workers, frontline employees, stay-at-home mothers, and all sorts of people are taking the classes to learn things like video production and content creation. The city is collaborating with universities to train 300 "AI Promotion Officers," instructors who are not only proficient in AI technology but also skilled in promoting it. According to data from China's National Data Administration, the country's average daily token calls surged from 100 billion in early 2024 to 140 trillion as of March this year. Tokens are the unit of data that LLM's use to process and generate text.
