Making a completely clear Oreo?! ?
✨Recipe:
Ingredients:
• Isomalt
• 1 cup water
• 1½ tsp agar agar powder
• Clear flavoring of choice
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan, combine the water, flavoring, and agar agar powder. Heat over medium heat, stirring gently and constantly until the mixture is just about to boil. Remove from heat and pour into a shallow pan or baking sheet to create a thin layer. Let cool until fully set.
2. Melt the isomalt carefully until fully liquid, adding additional flavoring if desired. Avoid stirring aggressively to minimize bubbles.
3. Gently pour the melted isomalt into a silicone Oreo mold, coating all the details evenly. Let harden for about 15 minutes, then carefully remove from the mold. Repeat to create matching cookie halves.
4. Using a 1½-inch round cutter, cut circles from the agar sheet to form the “cream” filling.
5. Sandwich the agar filling between two clear isomalt cookie halves.
6. Serve and enjoy this transparent twist on an iconic cookie! ?
