I had an old, incomplete Murray lawn tractor, and instead of fixing it, I turned it into a racing chopper trike!
It’s powered by a Briggs & Stratton 14HP boxer twin with a unique flat layout. I also bought a used original mower deck for this tractor, so yes — it still cuts grass!
The front end comes from a Honda Hornet 600, with extended forks (20 cm / 8 in). The drive ratio was modified — 180 mm (7 in) pulley on the engine, 130 mm (5 in) on the transmission — to keep the original belt and tensioners.
The rear axle was widened by 10 cm (4 in), reinforced with sleeves, support bearings, and fitted with Yamaha Raptor wheels for that street look.
It’s easy to control, mows perfectly, and hits nearly 50 km/h (31 mph) —
1st gear for mowing, the rest just for fun!
