The Vancouver Canucks officially unveiled three new members of their front office. Franchise icons Daniel and Henrik Sedin were named co-presidents, taking over for Jim Rutherford who recently stepped down from the position and will transfer into an advisory role. Former NHL forward Ryan Johnson - who skated with the Canucks for two seasons - was named the thirteenth general manager in franchise history. Johnson was serving as the team's assistant general manager, as well as the general manager for the Abbotsford Canucks of the American Hockey League.
The trio spoke before the media at an introductory press conference.
