What happens when the life that looks successful no longer feels meaningful? We often celebrate new beginnings — new jobs, new ventures, new achievements — but rarely talk about the uncertainty, silence, and self-doubt that come before transformation. This talk dives into the hidden side of entrepreneurship, personal growth, identity, family expectations, and the courage it takes to leave the “safe path” behind, or in the words of Robert Frost "the road not taken". Through reflections on legacy, purpose, entrepreneurship, and inner transformation, this talk challenges the idea that endings are failures. Sometimes, endings are the beginning of becoming who you were always meant to be. An entrepreneur who transformed a simple observation into a thriving venture- Dr. Vaibhav Mittal is the Founder and CEO of Karmic Beauty, a premium clean beauty brand based in Jalandhar, Punjab, established in 2024.
His work was recognized when Karmic Beauty received the D2C Award for Excellence at the Indian Retailer Awards 2025. His journey, which began humbly with his family’s iconic lovely sweets, has now transcended into education, beauty entrepreneurship and automotive leadership. He is also the COO of lovely autos and Vice President of Lovely Professional University.
But beyond achievements, his journey reflects a larger idea — that sometimes the end, that is, a gap in the market becomes the beginning of innovation. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
