KPop Demon Hunters just made Oscars history!
The Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters won two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for Golden by Huntrix. This historic win makes it the first non-Disney animated film to win two Oscars in one night.
The Oscars also gave us an incredible live performance of “Golden.” Singers EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami performed the song live, and the audience even had light sticks, turning the Oscars stage into a full K-pop concert moment.
We also finally got to hear Hunter’s Mantra performed live with a real pansori singer, bringing traditional Korean music to the Oscars stage.
Another amazing moment was seeing the entire cast and performers come together. The Huntrix members Arden Cho, May Hong, and Ji‑young Yoo, who play Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, were there alongside the Saja Boys’ singing voices including Andrew Choi, Kevin Woo, SamUIL Lee, Neckwav, and Danny Chung.
We also saw Ahn Hyo‑seop, the voice of Jinu, and Ken Jeong, who plays Bobby.
Hopefully this means we’ll get to hear more live performances from Huntrix in the future, including songs like “How It’s Done,” “What It Sounds Like,” and “Takedown.”
And now the big question is… are you excited for KPop Demon Hunters 2?
