Singapore Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan makes rare visit to North Korea

Singapore Minister for Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishnan met North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui during a rare visit to Pyongyang. Mr Balakrishnan invited Minister Choe to attend the ASEAN Regional Forum, which North Korea is a member of, said Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on Wednesday (May 27). Both reaffirmed the longstanding cordial and friendly relations between Singapore and North Korea, MFA added. Mr Balakrishnan also called on Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly Jo Yong Wo.
